I'm coming alone is that OK?

Yes most of our guests travel alone and if you'd like to share a room with another guest we will pair you up to share a twin room, if you'd prefer your own privacy then you are welcome to book a private room for an additional supplement. The retreats are friendly and inclusive and our lovely hosts are on hand 24/7 to make sure you have the most relaxing and enjoyable stay with a lovely group of likeminded women.

I've never surfed or tried yoga before?

No problem, most of our guests are complete beginners and have never tried surfing before. Our instructors will tailor the sessions to suit your ability, all equipment and professional instruction is included.

What is the average age of guests on your retreat?

We have guests from their late 20s to 70s, everyone is welcome, on average considering previous retreats the majority of guests are aged between 30-45 years.

Are the retreats for men and women?

Yes everyone is welcome, we find 80% of our guests tend to be women but men are very welcome to join too.

What should I bring with me on the retreat?

  • Swimming costume / bikini for hot tub / spa and for under wetsuit for surfing

  • Beach towel, sun cream, sun glasses, hat

  • Comfortable clothes for yoga

  • Windproof jacket / Something warm to put on

  • Flip flops for walking on the beach after surfing

  • Toiletries

  • Any additional snacks, more alcohol or other drinks that you would like to enjoy during your stay.

Are toiletries included?

Yes they are; shampoo, conditioner and shower gel / bath foam and hairdryers

What is the accommodation like in Cornwall?

We'll be staying in a Luxury Spa Resort in our own Private Lodge, with spacious lounge, terrace with private hot tub and light and spacious twin rooms. 

The spa resort has everything we need to unwind and relax all weekend, including indoor pool, spa facilities, onsite gym, tennis courts, trails for running, static wave machine plus it's own lake with wakeboarding and aqua obstacle course. 

What's the accommodation like in Portugal?

A beautiful villa in a spa resort on the outskirts of Lagos, located around a 5 minute drive from the nearest beautiful beach at Porto de Mos. The villa is immaculately presented, spacious and fully equipped with everything you will need to enjoy your stay. Yoga sessions will take place in the light spacious lounge, access to an amazing spa and indoor pool and gym is included in your retreat just a few minutes walk from our villa on the complex.

How many people will I share a bathroom with?

Some of our bedrooms are en-suite and some have a shared bathroom, the maximum number of people sharing a bathroom is 4 but it’s often less.

Can I have a private room?

Yes we always offer private rooms they are a little more expensive than the twin share rooms please just ask us.

What about the meals?

Breakfast is fresh fruit, yoghurts, cereals, eggs, freshly baked bread and pastries, juice, tea, coffee.

Lunch are usually picnics eaten on the beach made up of sandwiches, wraps, salads and a freshly baked home made treat - we will enjoy lunch on the beach after surfing if the weather is fine, if it's raining or chilly we will return to the lodge to enjoy lunch there

Dinner is a delicious home cooked main course and a desert we eat together as a group with the hosts either in the lodge or at the on-site restaurant. Evening meals are included on the Friday and Saturday nights for our Cornwall weekend retreats, on the Sunday night we eat out together at a local pub or restaurant and guests choose and pay for their own meal. On our 7 night retreats all evening meals are included.

Do you cater for special diets?

Yes, we ask for any dietary requirements in advance and we are very happy to cater for any specific needs or allergies.
